Anthropogenic Biomes of the World
Cropped & Pastoral Villages

Cropped and Pastoral Villages are an anthrome that has almost every
land use type possible within it. As its name implies it has both a
significant amount of agricultural cropland and pasture for grazing
livestock, it even contains a significant amount of bare earth.
Tree cover is sparse and rice cultivation is minimal
in most of this anthrome.
Cropped and pastoral Villages have little urban area but those areas
which are considered urban are heavily populated. This
anthrome has quite a range in both temperature and precipitation
which is further illustrated by looking at its constituent
ecoregions. Cropped and pastoral villages are found in places from
the Chinese forests, to the mountains of Afghanistan, to central
Africa. Heterogeneity is the theme in the cropped and pastoral
villages anthrome. |

2% of cells in each anthrome based on
the Euclidean distance across the means of variables used for anthrome classification. |
